Re: Greetings to the Blood Community
I don't see how it could go tits up. Unless the companies' involved hold the license ransom for something else (Exclusivity deals, rights to another IP, etc) because we're going on 15 years since Blood 2 came out. How much money could they expect to get for an IP dead this long and that was never a million seller?

You know, if he's tweeting about it, this is probably a good sign. If the project is doomed I think he would just be silent about it.

Atari is filing bankruptcy but it's the Euro arm that's losing money not the American arm. They're filing for bankruptcy so they can separate. I doubt it would have much effect on Blood re-release.

I hate this...

Re: Greetings to the Blood Community
I'd venture to guess that it will have little to no effect on the task at hand.
Re: Greetings to the Blood Community
Dear Blood Community:
I just got an unusually short, one sentence e-mail from Atari, letting me know that given the current set of circumstances, they are choosing to decline to proceed.
Obviously, I am disappointed. Particularly given Atari's continued encouragement along with the amount of time, effort and correspondence that I have put into this venture.
The only thing that can be done at this point is to wait and see what happens with ATARI, and hope that they find themselves in a position and mindset to allow my efforts to continue on this matter at a future date.
Tears and Sadness,
Jace Hall

Re: Greetings to the Blood Community
Hi Jason Hall,
This is obviously very disappointing for all of us, but we know you did everything you could given the circumstances.
Thank you for championing this righteous cause and for keeping us informed. It's been a long time since the Blood community got any recognition whatsoever and I think that, despite this bad news, many will rest a little easier knowing that while it may not be today, the day will come where we'll get our chance and that we'll have you in our corner.
Until that day comes, we'll be here, waiting patiently as we ever have.
Stay fresh and thank you from the bottom of my life essence!
