The idea is that you have tried the Thief series.

I have played the first two thief games when they came out. Great stuff. When i'll have some time i'll try the dark mod, it may be promising. I must still recover from the disappointment of the phantasm mod, though :(

Out of all the Doom games I most enjoy Doom 2. Heck I even mod it. In my opinion though Id should just make another classic doom game except with the sprites from doom 64. Now that would look good. :D

Half Life 2 is better than Doom 3 anyway.

Yeah, I said it.

Surprising? Yes. Universal fabric tearing? Yes. Agreed? Yes.

Oooooooh :D
I think 99% of the people in this world say HL2 is better than D3. I say so too.

Half-Life 2 was a pretty good sequel, but I liked the first more. Doom 3 took a swing and missed, but an ok game on its own. I'd still say Half-Life 2 is quite far better than Doom 3 though.

Also, Umnir, I love your avatar.

I'm rather happy to see people agreeing with me. However, I'll be willing to give Doom 4 a chance in the hopes that it at least has a shitload of different locales to visit instead of a bunch of lookalike streets and roads. hell, I'd love to see Doom 4 do a Duke Nukem kind of move and put in a strip club with dead hookers in it. :D

We shall see...

Doom3 was technological demo, after all the biggest income for ID is their engines. That made the game very heavy and forgot the whole idea of the original: hell-loads of enemies. If they do it wisely, they'll fix that problem.

ID guys must leave Doom forever. Doom 3 has a good graphics, of course, but isn't the same as Doom or Doom 2.

When I saw Doom 2 I though ID software brought something new. Ok, it has more enemies, more textures, a new weapon, more gameplay (more addiction :D)... but no more. Doom 2 was only the game what took the success of Doom. Thenceforth I don't wait expectant a really good Doom.

Heartily I don't expect much about the new Doom 4. They should return to the essence of Doom I

And Unmir, I aslo think Half Life 2 is better than Doom 3 :D.

I think the whole concept of Doom (what it once was) is a quite outdated to make another version out of it.
Senseless shooting was something of the mid 90's.

Money money money, that's what rules. It's easy to buy [insert familiar series here] [insert part here]. Funniest games are those, that leave out the sequel number and add some fancy name instead. Doesn't this itself prove how ashamed these developers are? Why not just stamp "Modern dickslap XX" instead, so you don't have to check wich part of the 35 games series you are playing.

They probably don't give a shit. As long as it's overhyped, who cares what number it is! Just as long as it has some whorebrand name on it like Modern lolfare with a different variety of "me too!" hitscan weapons for idiots to compare, rocket launchers, and useless nuke weapons and so forth. Counter Strike seems like such a far away memory, doesn't it?

I'll take The Darkness and Half-Life 2, and whatever FPS games value single player gaming thank you.

Oh, and you gotta love those fucking idiots in YouTube gun videos saying "lol that's weapon from CoD4". Those should be punished by law and to be sent to concentration camp for year to learn lesson.

We can send them to a camp where they have to play shitty NES games, and the AVGN is the head ward.
