Yeah it's kinda hit and miss really. I'll tell you now, that it is HARD. You can only save at certain points and often you'll have to do a lot to get through a level before you can make a save. It's pretty faithful to the film, the enemies are just as messed up in the game too.

80s. Although, technically speaking, they're both short story adaptations. I don't really see why the 80s version would be a 50s version adaptation.

I'm thinking about the same of The Thing, it's weird how people think John Carpenter's version is an adaption of Howard Hawks' one.

Alright which Alien film is everyones favorite?
It's gotta be 2 for me even though 4 was pretty cool it was all a bit French,
in a line up i'd put them like this.........
1 Alien 2
2 Alien 4
3 Alien 1
4 Alien 3

About the Alien film series thing, I have only seen Alien 1 (1979) and Aliens (1986), but I personally preferred Alien 1, though every fan of the series seems to say Aliens is better than it.

Why is that?

But to start off with, I haven't seen Aliens in a while, so my memory is a bit faded. I think I'll get around to watch it again sometime, as I did find it enjoyable

Aliens contribute to the universe the most, has very realistic sets and best actors, Michael Biehn, Bill Paxton and... LANCE FUCKING HENRIKSEN!
I'd order them up like this:
1. Aliens
2. Alien³
3. Alien
.
.
.
562. Alien: Resurrection
