Dark Up

I've been messing around with color grading, and I wondered what it would look like to have one of DarkSeed's original palettes (the main one you get during most of the game) extrapolated on a truecolor bitmap. Here's the result (you'll need a CRT to actually appreciate what's been done here, otherwise it's just some desaturated piece of garbage): http://s000.tinyupload.com/?file_id=871 ... 1289088155

The smaller the palette, the greater the impact, which's good because processing even this small sample is quite tough on the CPU.

The idea, though, is to eventually compute it for a 3D Lut, and that's going to take some time.

If you're wondering, yes, works with Blood's as well, but I think Blood's palette's still a bit too rich for this, so it looks kind of "bloodish", yet not distinctively so.
