Max Payne the movie

Well, you can expect me to rant about it but I keep it short: Milla Kunis was huge mistake as Sax and Marilyn Manson angst was too typical choice for "dark" music in the trailer. Other than that, I'll spare the rest when I've seen the movie.

This is one hella bad idea for a movie.

I can't wait til they make a Half-Life 2 movie, though. That would be hilarious.

I'm definately not interested at all, getting that retard wannabe-finnish actor play Max was the thing that killed the whole movie.

Let's take a gritty, brutal neo-noir crime drama with a bodycount to rival the Hong-Kong masters, then awkwardly shoehorn in elements of the supernatural, 'coz a straight action film won't sell anymore. That'll put asses in seats.

Did you think the demons could be in his head (valkyrie, nightmares)?
In movies what you see is not always there.

Not that I expect anything intelligent from this movie. :p

No I'm not, I just don't enjoy the guy.

Casting him as a main character to such a big video game movie was a bad call imo.

Ah, I see.

Well, casting is a difficult case indeed. Where they could find Max Payne look-alike (I wonder where wink wink) there is no quarantee that he could act.

But then we can blame hollywood and their obsessed desire to hire "superstars" to attract people... supposedly.

Personally Mark Wahlberg is quite alike with Matt Damon; two guys with face paralyzation, only that Damon's face is partially paralyzed so that he can smile and form two emotions instead of one. Ofcourse they can raise their voices but that's not acting, that's shouting.

I did stop to think that. I also stopped to think that it looked pretty bad and not in a "fun action movie" bad way.

Also, Wahlberg and Damon are awesome, though I give Wahlberg the advantage in "Actual acting" capabilities.

Im just being overly dramatic here, those guys are fine but hugely overrated, especially Damon. And what is overrated, I attack it.

I feel that both Wahlberg and Damon have childish facial figures and aren't proper actors to portray serious characters.

I said it in the movies thread but I'll say it here again. It was ordinary at best.
