Blood 1 music rearranged (soon)

Post by Lyme » Jul 5th, 2007, 20:00

Hi,
i'm currently working on re-arranging blood 1 (midi) music (orchestral themed), output are waveform files produced by various classical soundfonts. Soon I'll release a first version in this thread.

Because I seldom added a note or two or repeated textures I might need to contact the company which owns the rights to allow me to distribute the music. Is it Atari or Monolith?

Warner Bros. Entertainment Inc, but nobody who had something to do with the game in the past, cares for it anymore, so feel free to distribute your work.

You have more chances of having a northkorean zombie come by to cope a feel on your sister than getting sued for whatever you could do to a 10yo midi Image

Warner Bros. maybe does care after all. I got an e-mail from Stephen Weyte (Caleb's voice) and he's not going to be able to record any new dialogue unfortunately. He contacted Warner Bros. and was told it would be illegal for such a thing

Yeah seriously! Holy shit that's so many levels of win! Shame he can't participate in the add-on, giveb it wouldn't even make any profit anyway. :(

There's been no replies as yet which I expected. Some minutes ago I contacted infogrames with no hope to get positive answers. In 2001 Monolith disallowed me to distribute music of blood 2 because it would violate their ip. Conclusion: big business does not care for fans. I'll contact willis (deathmask) to see if he's interested to host the music later - which yet is preview material. Atm it's less than 20MB mp3 in 64k quality (final will have good quality).

Great job Lyme, I've already burned a CD 8)

Some of the tunes reminded me of American Mcgee's Alice, nevertheless.
