I'm thinking of putting up my own playthrough but don't know if I should bother since I can't exactly get great quality (I get sub-60 FPS on DOSBox if I go higher than the 300 resolutions since I'm playing on laptop).

I think the quality is fine, but one word of advice:

If you upload a low-resolution video to YouTube, such as something under 480p (your video seems to be 360p), YouTube will have terrible compression on it. My advice is to upscale (with 1:1 pixel aspect ratio if possible) to have the height be at least over 720p, that way YouTube knows the video is supposed to be treated as a high resolution video, and won't apply terrible compression on it.

480p and 360p can be okay for real life videos, but for something like Blood, which is originally limited to 256 colours and has a lot of same colours on the screen, you get major artifacting.

So I made a bunch of playthroughs at 640 by 480. This was the best resolution I could get, trust me. I couldn't do 640 by 400 because for some reason FFSplit would record the aspect ratio all fucked up.

Anyway, I've uploaded a few to youtube and I see that youtube reduces the video quality, and the quality is already low enough! I'd like to upload these vids and make it so that youtube maintains the quality as much as it can. Any suggestions? I have a free video editing software called Avidemux. Thanks.

Episodes 1-4 are a bit higher in video quality than 5 because the aspect ratio was recorded correctly in them and I didn't have to stretch them out. 5 was done wrong at first unfortunately. The vid quality isn't great for any of them unfortunately but I wanted to show off Blood's gameplay more than anything else.

Thank you so much man. I'm very honoured. There aren't many of us left that can understand a game like Blood in this age of ultra-linear, military FPS rehashes and so your appreciation really means a lot.

I'd like to re-do episode 5 some day 'cause of the poorer vid quality and I because missed out on the secret level. Oh well. It doesn't look like I'll get any time from now until summer though.

Hey guys, I did a re-play of Episode 5 since the original had to be stretched out to correct its aspect ratio. I also didn't know where the secret map was in the first playthrough so that was neglected then. I got lost a couple of times in the original and did some stupid shit with the napalm launcher so this one is all round much better (plus I don't die the whole way through). It has the secret level and it's still done ten minutes faster:

Made a new playthrough of Episode 1 on Well Done. I deleted those old ones because the video quality of those was just so terrible. This is till 320x480 native so it still doesn't look great but recording codec is much better than the primitive thing I used last time.
