New Mods and Maps
Re: New Mods and Maps
I and a friend have an add-on project too.
Tedd has some maps ready now, but I'll really start to map once I'm finished with my Diablo 2 fancy.
It's called French Meat.

Perhaps for the flesh part at the last screenshot, perhaps could you use the breathing walls trick to make environment more effective?

I was impressed by the industrial maps of Hostile Takeover in particular.
<Boilerplate> Thing is MoonStalkeR: You seem to be suffering from schizphernia, which the MoonStalkeR personality is your base one, Mobius is the aggressive personality, Krypto is the depressive personality, Nautalus is the pervert personality, etc

They gave me a chance to do some neat stuff, but I'm just trying to mix things up a bit more this time around. Maybe I was just tired of playing the industrial ones after so much playtesting.MoonStalkeR wrote:I was impressed by the industrial maps of Hostile Takeover in particular.

I want the levels to work well with one another without feeling tooooo similar. Sometimes I feel like the regular's Blood's Episode 2 had this problem.
Re: New Mods and Maps
Just posting to let you guys - who make actual new content for us to enjoy - know that you're heroes. More Blood for the Blood god.

Re: New Mods and Maps
Has simply decided to tell that New BAITD it is completely successfully finished and ready to the publication.
That we have at present:
-----------
5 big HQ maps.
The new boss.
Re-playable history with five endings.
4 new weapons with the changed characteristics.
New real items.
New textures.
Huge quantity of new models (more than 100).
New sounds.
Cutscenes.
Launcher which will help you to start all it kindly without littering a folder with Blood.
At present we have problems with a hosting on which we is placed add-on.
As soon as all will rise into place or we will find a new place for our site, BAITD will be published.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!Daedolon wrote:About my mod, it's been cooking for some time but very, very slowly since I have a lot of stuff going on all the time. But it's a nod more towards the Cryptic Passage style than original Blood experiences.

How is this doing by the way?

Re: New Mods and Maps
it's amazing, I played through it four times. I wish he would release it to the public already.

Well that's one hell of a surprise from a simple inquiry and I'm surprised you revealed that super secret

Re: New Mods and Maps
I was just poking a little fun at our Evil Administrator, it's not true. I have no clue on the status of the campaign, but I did see plenty of screenshots a long time ago and it did appear promising at least in the sense that it was very visually appealing.
On a related note, I really should find time to play all of the mods that have been coming out in the last year or so. Some of the stuff is looking really good judging by screenshots and your youtube videos.

Actually I'm still "on track" with the campaign, just changed tracks for slower trains, but it's still gonna reach its destination one day.
I'm very busy with Duke3D related mapping stuff at the moment, but once I wrap 2 of my own maps for Duke3D, I'll take a poke at my Blood maps properly, and showcase some more screenshots (as well as gameplay).
Ask later when I've finished the Duke3D maps.
