Today I will share my recent acquisition of the Euro/Kixx release of Rise of the Triad and the rare Extreme Rise of the Triad expansion.

Comes with a flyer for the upcoming release of Duke Nukem 3D.

Image

Interesting how shots from Lame Duke aka the Beta are used.

Image

A fully boxed copy of the rare Extreme Rise of the Triad expansion, comes with an exclusive 200 page player's guide.

Image

Image

Even comes with a cool leaflet instructing the 'Rise of the Triad Customer' to upgrade their copy of ROTT before installing the expansion.

Redneck Rampage never really managed to capture my attention the way Blood, Shadow Warrior and (to a lesser degree) Duke Nukem did.

Maybe I should give it a chance again one day.

The irony is Redneck Rampage does happen to have a 'Deathmask Mode!' The hardest skill 'Psychobilly' actually disables loading and saving the game, although it won't reset the game to the first level of the respective episode each time you die

I sold my floppy version of ROTT to fund my watch purchase. It was pretty damn cool box, but the fact is, that is one shitty fucking game so I let it go. :D

There are those here who may slay you for saying such things.

I am now going to stop being lazy and share my purchases from the past 2 months, in order of purchase.

The most rare purchase, I've been searching for this for over a decade now, what a wonder to find it fully boxed and still sealed.

About time I own Shadow Warrior, main incentive to buy it was I wanted the CD audio which ISO's failed to render correctly.

Image

The third rare purchase, being a copy of Hexmaker, the first retail map editor for Hexen II with the seller also including Hexen II and the rare Towers of Darkness compilation of Heretic, Hexen and Deathkings expansion. Funny not a single soul bidded for it. This means I now own 2 copies of Hexen II.

The second most rare purchase, Exhumed and Powerslave at last after over a decade of searching.

The fourth rare purchase, being a fully boxed copy of Witchaven complete with everything including a special PC Gamer sneak peek magazine from 1995/6. This means I now own 2 copies of Witchaven, the other being the Softkey UK release which is a gold CD.
