What have you recently purchased?

Post by Daedalus » Nov 20th, 2005, 08:00

Greetings, gang. I thought I'd just make a thread where we could put up our recently acquired assets (possibly with pics). I will make a bet with any of you as to who will dominate this thread, but that's neither here nor there.

Unfortunately I cannot begin this thread with anything, as I'm a poor man. Enjoy!

Over the months since the contract on a job I used to work on ended, I've just bought a shitload of games for the PC and N64. Fucking.... let's compile a sample list for both.

N64
-Perfect Dark
-Virtual Pool
-2 adventure racing series
-Goldeneye and I forgeth the Other Bond Title.
-F Zero X
-Doom 64

PC
-Sin
-Doom 3 + Expansion
-Oni
-Lemmings
-Several Rainbow Six games
-several other such games from other titles
-Shadow Warrior
-Sim Ant

The list goes on and on. Oh, and it helps that the place i go to actually lets people trade PC games, and from time to time they have fucking sales going fucking 50% off on ALL traded games. Like holy shit, I managed to pick up doom 3 and the expansion for only $40.00 total!!!!!! :D

Oh, and I bought an iPod, and some CDs from a cd recycling shop too. What can I say? I'm cheap! ;)

Sadly, i'm low on money now. So... Can't buy anything now.

My latest buying.

Mechanical pencil. I’ve lost my precious pencil somewhere during the exams, so I had to buy another one.
You may also see The Suffering CD here. Don’t worry, it’s not pirated, it’s totally licensed. It’s just “a little” used, so the box and the cd’s look like someone have been playing football with ‘em.

Oh hell yeah! :D I'm still trying to fucking beat "Watch Your Step" on Doom64. It's a fucking nightmare to do on "Watch me DIE". Ha! I'll kill the damn cyberdemons eventually...

Say, Boss. Did they manage to give the weapons new animations and such, or is it pretty much 100% faithful?

In other news, I bought 2 more master system games today. Golden Axe Warrior and Rambo III. w00t!

I don't really know how the original was, I never owned it for N64, I just played it a couple of times.

Absolution runs on jDoom and runs fairly smoothly, it's been a quite a while since I last played the original Doom 64, but I think it resembles it fairly well, I'm still stuck at level 4-6 or something because I can't find any way out.

Now, now, it was rather cheap.

EDIT: I traded few of my older CDs I didn't listen to any longer to these:

Forgotten Tomb - Springtime Depression

Pain - Live is Overrated DVD. There was a Ltd.ed. version of this but I couldn't find it. I'll have to see wether it contains anything I really need if I want to get it.

Uhhuh, it's been too long since I bought anything really meaningful. Does a pair of jeans count? :)
