Re: The "I love Blood.. BUT" thread
The flare gun has the potential to be more functional. Annoyances include... - Autoaim tends to misplace shots. - The problem with slopes as you mentioned - Likelihood of colliding with a minor obstacle between you and target, often due to one of the above. Ideally, I would prefer autoaim to be excl...

Re: Halloween Fan Fiction
I look forward to reading the other chapters. A scarecrow-themed Cabal overseer is very "pulp" and fits in nicely.
Have we seen this particular innocent's corpse in any map?

Re: Interview with Nick Newhard
As much as I would love to play (or develop) another chapter of Blood, it's unlikely that there will be a Blood 3. Not to be too philosophical, but whatever fates crossed or stars aligned that allowed our little team to craft Blood have long since moved on. Each of us has gone our separate ways to ...

I like to look at the astronomical charts in the background, it was a major interest of mine at the time. I also remember having a fascination with dinosaurs, I am sure many can relate.

Re: My Let's Play Blood Reborn.
Spectacular gameplay and commentary. I like how you emphasize the details, non-linearity, homages, etc. to demonstrate how rich each map is. Every walkthrough was complete with commentary on the path you are taking, as well mentioning other routes to remind the viewer of how ambiguous these levels a...

Re: New Monster/Enemies ideas
I lack the skill and knowledge to craft a genuine, breathing specimen. All I did was copy-pasting and colorizing to get an idea of what such a monster would look like in Blood. The only feasible way is probably to sculpt a physical model with posable body-parts or just use an action-figure, photogra...

Re: New Monster/Enemies ideas
Would the hypothetical public appearance of cultists also include their characteristically deformed faces? I think having just two cultist deviations, cultist and fanatic, is fine. It was Plasma Pak that went crazy with green, sky-blue, etc. When all of them were in view simultaneously, it looked li...

Re: WW1 or WW2?
Welcome SlapTheFish If we are to consider the caricature known as Blood 2 canon, it places the events of Blood to take place in 1928. Blood's setting feels like a shadow out of time, and it certainly is a pleasant one to experience. The backbone of its theme does indeed resemble a period in early-mi...

Re: New Monster/Enemies ideas
Acolyte acolyte.png For the same reason as the previously mentioned zealot, Plasma Pak acolytes seem like a lackluster enemy. Behavior feels incomplete and its graphics are yet another palette swap of the cultist. Perhaps a secondary attack can replace the way acolytes sloppily lob TNT at close ran...

Re: "ONE UNIT WHOLE BLOOD"
My strategy guide was enclosed within its own jewel case. Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I think all OUWB editions contained a B2 promotion.

The exotic new setting... a modern/near-future urban location with distant police sirens and Mr. Smithoids. At first, I was curious to finding out how the haunting world of Blood will adapt to this new home. Almost nothing was relevant to the original game, aside from Caleb, rare hands, and a few we...

Re: SHOW YOURSELF! SHOW YOURSELF!!!
I remember using my mother's Ebay account in 2002 to successfuly hunt down a copy of Blood 2. I was very excited when it arrived. As the installation commenced, I eagerly examined the manual's contents. Running the game, my first feelings were of confusion rather than disappointment which came later.

Fortunately I never got to use Windows ME. This was one Windows 98 on an IBM Aptiva. Although it has not been in use since 2004 or so, I still keep it due to attachment reasons. The monitor was quite bulky but had a flat screen, unlike many at the time. The days of looking at the blue installation s...
