I've heard that before from a couple of people - that the future lies in voxel-based engines. However the gaming industry doesn't agree. Yeah. Today's game industry doesn't yet have the technical equipment for this kind of task. Creating voxel models is difficult and they don't look much realistic....

On the other note I regret implying that Alpha has nothing of retail at all. Some of weapons work almost as they do in Blood (napalm, pitchy) and AI is not quite far away. But still it's missing the unique game soul we all love it for, at this matter familiar graphics work quite delusive giving the ...

First of all praise voxel engines. When the era of polygonal engines will die off, opening the way for voxels I'll be able to destroy the environments and bodies the way I like. Second point. BLOOD can never feel like BLOOD if you port it out of Build. Best thing you could do about recreat...

Perhaps I'm too rational (which means I rely on my brains not on my emotions for the most part) but I don't find any of PC games life threating at all. I guess I need to get heavily drugged to experience that.

If you really need something life-threating feel free to go spree killing.

Hellish enemies and paranoid atmosphere... That's sound fine but is way too overused. As every or almost every commercial incorporates violence as life-threatening part of atmosphere.

Why some people dare and can copyright the cultural heritage of mankind accumulated during centuries?
I bet the original idea of werewolf wasn't their either. Torch 'em!

I hope lawmakers are reasonable people. :(

The real trouble is that they've made copyrights last so long and ubiquitous these days. Even doing a game based on Greek mythology might get you in trouble with God of War. If I'm not mistaking originally copyrights were good for 10 years with an option for renewal. Now days it's something like 90...

I see trash bags from original episodes..

Where you get all those new textures? You photograph buildings in your city?

Also is it actual reflection of opposite street in the display door at the last screenshot? If so, it's done pretty well.

Was a while back.. Finished Enclave. At some point an awful game the story is the most unoriginal I've seen so far. The good part is fighting system it's not so bad after all, what it misses are showers of blood and flying body bits. Also switching between characters after missions ruins the solidne...

Most annoying enemies are hell hounds, especially when accompanied by cultists. They really draw a lot of attention to deal, others may use it as advantage.

@Zardoz It wasn't supposed to be an irony. With such behavior you could write a nasty Blood story. IMO.

Through it's pretty unlikely, someone might be working on it.. to rush it on our heads.
At least, if I was on it, I won't be sharing a bit until it's done.

Some of those early battles with the gargoyle were horrible in shareware blood. In all previous maps, player has been subjected to enemies that are slower and can be easily out maneuvered. First contact with the winged nightmare at the lucky- go- puke was quite a shock. Those hungry eyes, that mene...

I suspect my sound card is based on that chip. After it stops playing and I restart the game it complains about conflicting DMA channel. Switching from max quality to 8voices/11khz helps, this setting is stable. The issue is what Build games access both 8-bit and 16-bit DMA channels simultaneously. ...
