Blood
Blood is Monolith Productions' horror first-person shooter that went gold on the 25th of April, 1997 after having passed through the hands of several different production agencies. Using an enhanced version of Ken Silverman's Build Engine, Blood plunges the player into a remarkable world of believability with moving trains, searing fireballs, shifting ice sheets, tangible physics, earthquakes, planes and more.
In it, you assume the role of Caleb, a gunslinger betrayed and murdered by a cabal of madmen and its sinister master, the Dark God Tchernobog. For reasons unknown, you rise from your grave with only vengeance driving your purpose. In Blood, you'll pass through haunted mansions, eerie forests, abandoned carnivals, scorched city-scapes, ancient temples and more, as you seek to make your way back to the Cabal's base of operations and extract some answers long overdue. The price they'll pay for betraying you will be measured in Blood.
