Blood walkthrough, Episode 2: Even Death May Die

Mission 1 : Shipwrecked


You begin on a boat floating on an icy sea. You're going to need a bigger boat indeed and you're busy approaching one.

Once you've swam or sailed your way to the main ship you immediately realise that this ship isn't going anywhere, it is indeed shipwrecked. You'll have to find an alternative means of escape.

Leap onto the deck and continue searching it until you find the ship's wheel on the far end of the deck. There will be cultists there, which would add to up why the ship crashed. Typical Cabal handiwork. Kill the cultists there and one of them will drop the eye key. Pick it up and enter one of the eye key doors found in the center of the ship.

Let's assume you went through the door of the building that has the window on the side. Go into the navigation room and continue going down the passage and turning right at every curve until you find a TNT barrel. Destroy the barrel and a body of water will be revealed. If you look to your right now you'll see a dining room of sorts. Dish it out to the foolish enemies around the table and then go to the left of the room, look to your left and you'll see a fairly long passage. Go down the passage and the fire key will be roughly in the center of the room. When you pick up the fire key the door will lock shut, so that you are trapped in the room. A lousy Cabal trick.

Hit the switch you find on the nearby wall and the box held by the chain in the center will raise. Leap on the stack of nearby boxes and leap onto the box held by the chain. From here you can leap onto the deck. Now go through the opposite eye key door (the one you didn't use the first time) and turn left and then right. You'll see the skull key door in front of you. Now turn right and right again and continue moving straight. You'll find the secret body of water again. Swim through it until you get the skull key. Return and open the skull key door, the moon key will be on a nearby table. Collect it and return to the deck. Pull the ship's wheel and you've drive it into a nearby ice cave. You'll see and hear explosions. Enter into the new cavern you've created and you'll find another body of water. You better get used to the cold because your cold adventure has only begun! Swim until you find a point to surface. When you surface the seal of Tchernobog will be before you.

Mission 2 : The Lumber Mill


If you're not careful you could find yourself going in circles in this level.

When you begin, stick to the left wall until you find yourself in a large open area with piles of wooden planks. You should've already passed an area with piles of planks before, but continue until you reach the second area with planks, the really large one. Leap onto the planks and cultists should start shooting you from the opposite side of the room, through the windows. Kill the cultists and enter the windows of that building. Check around until you find a bloated butcher. Kill the fat bastard and take his skull key, then exit through the reddish double doors you find there. You should be on a balcony of sorts. Kill the cultists enjoying the view and then move through the tunnel on your right on the lower ground.

You will eventually find another wooden building with ice overhanging some cultists. Destroy these cultists and enter the building. Take a sharp right when you enter the building and open the door. You'll be attacked by more fanatics. One of these fanatics is holding the moon key. Kill them all, take the key and exit through the door you didn't come in through. It should be a large door.

When you exit, take a right and you'll see some small buildings on raised ground. These are in fact outhouses. Open the left one and unfortunately the only way to progress is down. So hold your breath and take the long drop.

When you land in the umm... water, surface and you'll see the fire key just out of reach. Swim around until you find a switch. Activating this switch controls the flow of the... water and causes it to rise a bit, so you can reach the key. Exit through the door and you'll find yourself in the courtyard with the outhouses on your right. Take a left and continue moving straight through the dark passage until there's a door on your left. This door requires the fire key. Open the door and kill the crazy asses inside. Turn to the left and there should be a lovely water-like mass of blood and corpses. You have to swim in there, grab the dagger key and a door will open underwater. Exit the bloody mass through that door and the dagger door will stand before you. The seal of Tchernobog is in the hedges around the corner.

Mission 3 : Rest for the Wicked


You begin in a hedgemaze. You better get used to these because you're going to encounter many of them.

Navigate the maze until you find an open area with a small fortress in the middle. Beyond that fortress is a small house with the same bricks on. If you enter the house and kill the bloated butcher he'll drop the skull key. Inside the fortress, at the top of the steps there will be small dark area inside the hedges. There will be two switches inside there. Activate the right switch and then return to the hedgemaze you began in. Turn right and enter through the skull key gate.

Continue until you find a large area with a pool in the middle. If you enter the room, on your left will be a small wooden door. Go open it and on your left will be a small round wooden structure, which is in fact a jacuzzi. Hit the button on the opposite end of the jacuzzi and the jacuzzi will melt the ice away on top, allowing you access.

Swim inside, but don't get too used to the warmth. The moon key will lie at the bottom. Collect it and backtrack to the original maze. There will be two gates requiring the moon key. Open one and turn right. The seal of Tchernobog will be on a gate in front of you.

Mission 4 : The Overlooked Hotel


This level is quite large, but every room has different ways of entering, so you won't get lost. There is a network of passageways that lead around the house. Check the secret guide to find them out.
You begin in another hedgemaze. It is easy to navigate. Move until you enter a large house. When you're in the foyer, take note of 4 things:

The staircase to your left, the staircase on your right that leads-left, the staircase on your right that leads right and the door that needs the skull key.

First climb the staircase on your right that leads left. Turn left when you reach the top and continue forward and eventually you'll find the skull key on your left on a balcony. Be careful though, this skull key is boobytrapped! Once you have the key, return to the foyer and open the skull key door. Inside will be the fire key. Collect it and move up the staircase on the left of the foyer. Eventually you'll be able to see the fire key door on the opposite side of a large room. Go to it and inside will be the dagger key. Return to the foyer and the staircase on the left of the room will have the dagger key door at the top left of it (down the passage). Open the door and inside will be the spider key. Collect it and return to the foyer.

Go up the staircase on the right that turns to the right. Pass through the dining room by exiting on the right side of it. Continue forward and turn left. Continue moving forward until you find a flight of stairs with a railing around it. Note that if you stand facing down the stairs you can see a gate in the distance. Go down the stairs and enter the room. Collect the booby-trapped moon key and go to the gate you saw earlier. Open the gate and continue until you're in a large room. When you enter the room you get ambushed by bloated butchers. Kill the butchers and go down the passage that a group of them came out of. There will be a gate that requires the moon key. Open the gate and turn left. The seal of Tchernobog will stand before you.

Mission 5 : The Haunting


Alright, so I finally decided to get off my ass and write the walkthrough for this monster mission. Follow carefully and I shall try to explain this as best I can. If you do not follow correctly, beware; this is the largest level in Blood and it contains a massive mansion that is easy to get lost in. Enough talk, let's begin.

You begin in a gloomy stone passage. Move forward and continue along the right wall. If you continue to go right for quite some time and are mindful of what's on your left, you'll eventually come to a dead tree, with a building behind it that shows two yellow windows. This next thin passage on the right is a miniature maze. Hope you're not claustrophobic - things can get tight in this deceivingly tranquil passage!

You should be able to see an old fashioned lamp standing in this maze. Follow the path until you find a second old-fashioned lamp, such as this one. Now if you look ahead, you'll see two passages leading left. Proceed to the furthest one, i.e. the second passage on your left. You'll see an ominous set of blood smears at this section of the maze. These are a warning. Zombies lie in ambush! But before you ream anything, know that you must proceed down the first passage on your left this time. Continue down here until you find the mansion I spoke of above.

It may even appear cosy, but don't be fooled! This is one wicked place. No use knocking either; you'll find no welcome here. Enter through the main doors, then pass through a second set of doors (these will be bloodied) and you'll find yourself in a large room with a handful of directions to go in. Let's call this the main room.

In the main room there are several ways to go; one can go left, through the green walled passage, forward, past the mirror, following the mat, upstairs, or right, through the rather dull passage. For our purposes however, you'll want to go right. The dull passage.

Pass through the passage and enter the library. Dispatch the bloated butcher or two that you'll find in this place. You don't want to go the expected way and there's no time for literature, either, so leave via the window. Back to the snow for us. There's a passage in the hedges in front of you as you leap out the window. Enter through the 'doorway' and turn left. Turn right at the lamp and you'll have many paths to follow. There should be two identical bushes up ahead of you. We're not going that way, though, so turn left and continue along the path. Take your first right and you'll see the spider key floating harmlessly on the other side of a small pool. Grab this key, destroy the guardians and return to the main room of the mansion. (That's through the library, the passage on your left after you've jumped through the window and you'll be back there.)

Now you'll want to proceed upstairs. Do so and take a left turn (there was never any other choice). If you continue along this passage there will be a wooden door on your left and a passage with stoney walls on your right. Pass through the wooden door. Continue forward, turn left and on your right will be the door which requires the spider key, which you should've acquired earlier. Enter this door. Send the phantasm or phantasms back to the hell that spawned then and snatch the eye key on the desk. Return to the main room of this mansion. (That's out the way you came in, turn left, follow the path to the wooden door, open it, turn right and go down the stairs.)

Now turn around and face the room the same way you did when you first entered. We shall now go down the cold, green passage on your left. Continue down this passage and you'll find yet another library-like area. There will be a set of double wooden doors on your right when you enter. Pass through these. You've now entered a passage with a door on the opposite side. If you look right there will be a grandfather clock against the wall. Pass through the second set of double wooden doors now.

Two choices. Left or right. In this case, go left and enter the bar-like area with the large glass windows. Hope you like unconventional exits, as again you must smash a window, exit the mansion and enjoy winter's icy embrace. You can't go wrong here. Once you've smashed a window (or all of them,) turn left and you'll see a small pathway in the hedges. Follow the path and collect the dagger key (also in front of a pool), defeat the guardians and return to the bar area.

Once in the bar area, go behind the counter and proceed to the small, metal, dagger key door. You've just entered a kitchen area. Rats and bloated butchers galore. Kill them all and there are three doors to choose from. Two metal doors and a wooden door which requires the fire key. Enter the metal door on the left. This is a small refridgeration area. Grab the fire key and exit this place, before you become a permanent resident, like the poor suckers hanging around you. Now pass through the wooden fire key door on your left.

On your immediate right, after you've gone through, will be the eye key door. Enter through here and descend into the cellar. In the cellar, if you go right, there will be two small areas on your right. The second one contains the skull key. Grab the skull key and exit the way you came in.

If you didn't get crushed by the door you just opened, look ahead of you. There's a fancy set of double doors. Pass through them to enter an outside area. Take note of two things here; the moon key in the distance on your right and the passage leading to the left, through the hedges (again!). Go through this passage on the left and eventually you'll come to a small building that requires the skull key to enter. Enter it and go to your immediate left, behind the door. There's a stairway leading up. A set of drawers has been pushed up to lock your progress, but treat it as any normal door. Push it and enter the small upstairs sanctuary. Grab the moon key, go back down the stairs and exit the building the way you came in. Return to the moon key door I pointed out earlier.

You'll find yourself in a fairly peaceful pool area. There seems to be no exit, but upon further inspection there's a small crack in the north-west side of the pool. Use explosives on this crack and the water level will lower to fill a nearby underground passage. Time for a swim.

Swim down this underwater passage and you'll find a spot to surface. Do so and proceed down the corridor. You'll see a barrel of explosives. Destroy it and two passages will open. The one on the right leads to the pool area you were just in, but the one on the left, if followed for a short time, leads to a small icy chamber which contains the seal of Tchernobog. Press it to complete this mission.

Mission 6 : The Cold Rush


This mission is relatively simple. You just need to be observant.

When you begin, move through the icy passage in front of you. You'll come out in a large, icy, open area. Take note of the river you see flowing in the distance. Now take a left and a passage will be on your left. Move through this passage and you'll find another icy area. Turn right and face the wooden building and you'll find the skull key door. Now go back to the first room and cross the chilly river.

When you cross the river, take a right and leap onto the icy ledge. Continue forward then take a left when you see the huge open pit. The second passage on your left is where you want to be. The earth is restless in this area and bits of the environment are busy falling apart everywhere, but keep to your mission. Down the passage is a ledge you have to jump to. Leap onto the ledge and continue straight along the path it takes you. Eventually you'll find the huge chasm again. Keep to the left side (the mountain) and eventually you'll see the skull key in the distance. Towards the end of the mountain pass there are two paths - a high one and a low one. Take the low road.

Here is a shortcut - you can use your jumping boots to reach this ledge, then you can shoot out the window on the other side and simply leap into it, kill the fanatic and pull the switch. Then you can leap back onto the original ledge and exit through the doors. You can finish the level in about a minute by doing this. Hehehe...

Collect the skull key and go back the way you came until you find that skull key door again. Go through the door and go through the second set of double doors. Turn to your left and there will be a fireplace. Go through the metal door at the left of the fireplace. There will be a large series of cogs and metallic objects in the room. Push the button that lies between the four sets of chains and the cogs will rotate. Exit the room once you've done this. On the far side of this cosy room will be a spiral staircase. Go up the stairs and take the door on the right that you find in the room up there. Once you exit that door there should be a button in a small wooden chamber to the left of you. Step into the chamber and hit the button. The chamber will rotate and another button will present itself. Push the button and you'll see that the door on the opposite side of the valley will open (you see this through a window). Make your way to that door and enter it. The seal of Tchernobog will be in the dirty area inside there.

Mission 7 : Bowels of the Earth


You begin in an underground area. The ground is incredibly unstable around here. Proceed forwards and an earthquake will occur. Drop down into the doorway up ahead. Follow the passage until you get ambushed by the zombies. Several side areas will open. The furthest one on the right is the correct path. Continue along this road.

You'll eventually find a mining cart on your right. Hop inside and take a ride. When it stops an earthquake will occur and you'll have to jump to the opposite side of the gorge which has been created. Take a left and continue along the path. Eventually you'll end up in a large room. Go to the passage on the opposite end of the room and continue going along it until you can turn left. Go along the passage until you come to a room with a hole in the center. Fall down the hole and hit the switch at the bottom of the pit. In the pit there will be a lift. Go up the elevator and you'll find yourself back in the passage before the large room with the hole.

Go back to the room with the hole and you'll see an object moving up and down and making quite a noise on the other side of the room. Make your way to it. Unfortunately you have to make your way through this passage and avoid those pummeling things. They can be pretty painful. When you reach the end you'll find a passage overlooking the room with the pit in the middle. There will be a switch fairly high off the ground on your right. Hit the switch and chains will slide to the other side of the room. Follow the chains and use your jumping boots to leap up the ledge where they go. Go straight and follow the path until you find a body of water. Swim through the water until you find a wooden pole. You can pull the pole and a door will open on the opposite side of the underwater passage. Continue along the path and blow up any cracks you find and you should be fine. Eventually you'll find a place with a really evil feel to it. Open the door with the giant spider on. Step into the temple structure and continue until you find some pillars with a grey obelisk in the middle. Push the obelisk and it will lower. A passage will present itself and at the end of the passage is the seal of Tchernobog.

Mission 8 : The Lair of Shial


In this mission you fight Shial, the spider queen and sometimes you fight a second spider queen (On the higher difficulties).

Shial is quite powerful, but flames and explosives work quite effectively. Killing the spiders she produces has no effect on her. Try to avoid getting swarmed, as this is Shial's strength.

To finish you have to kill Shial. Kill Shial to finish the episode.

Mission 9 : Thin Ice


You begin this level in a cold, windy cavern. Exit the cavern and you'll see a large body of water with land on the other side. Swim to the land and you'll find a plunger. Delightful. Press it down and the ice behind you will blast open, revealing a cavern. Go through the cavern until you find a body of water. Swim through the water until you find a spot to surface. Once you've done that walk to the other side of the icy place and a new water source will crack open. Swim through the new water source until you surface. There will be a passage. Continue along this passage (it's pretty straight forward) until you find a bonfire with cultists surrounding it. Ravage their campsite and go up the lift on the opposite end. Follow the path until you find the skull key.

Now it gets a bit tricky. When you look to your right you'll see platforms with gargoyles on (on the easier difficulties only one will have a gargoyle on). Use your jumping boots and leap onto these platforms until you reach the other side of the room. Follow the path, kill the stone gargoyle and exit through the skull key door. The seal of Tchernobog will be in front of you.
